Favourite AFL Masters memory/experience2006, I was president of WA and the 55’s were playing Vic Country and were about 7 points down with a few minutes to go. Patch Adams took a Mark in the forward pocket. Patch was 70 or 71 at the time. He went to scratch the ground to know where his mark was. The opponent thought he was playing on and tackled him. The result was 50 metre penalty which put Patch directly in front. Patch being a master of the dropkick put it straight thru the big ones and it was 9 points if I recall for a dropkick goal back then. Result we won by 2 points. Patch is already a Hall of Famer but at 70 he is a Legend.
